Silky Oak SO04 — 1045x80x11mm
Détails du produit
Silky Oak (Grevillea robusta)
Despite its name, Silky Oak is not a true oak — it is an Australian native from the Proteaceae family, and one of the most visually distinctive timbers available. When quarter-sawn, it reveals a spectacular lace-like ray figure — broad, lustrous flecks that shimmer across the surface, giving it an almost lacquered appearance straight from the plane. It is this striking medullary ray figure that has made Silky Oak a favourite for decorative cabinetry, furniture, and fine joinery for over a century.
